To Aunt Jane's We Go

Aunt Jane lives in Wilmington, just a few houses away from the beach. We finally made it down there to visit with her and had a wonderful weekend! It was really cold, but we still made it to the beach and had a great time. Kate spent most of her beach time collecting seashells with Grandma. Brower just ran and ran and ran...everywhere! Grandpa and Chad got to get our their kites and fly them for a while- it was great kite flying weather! It rained most of the day Monday, so we headed down to Fort Fisher and went to the aquarium. It was a great aquarium and the kids loved it. The kids had so much fun hanging out with Aunt Jane and can't wait to go back again! We love you Aunt Jane! On our way back to Aunt Jane's

Good-bye old rooms, Hello New Bed!

New bunk beds

Kate's room
Brower's room
Kate and Brower have been waiting so patiently for their new beds to come in. They are so excited about sharing a room and having bunk beds. The big day has finally arrived. The men came to set up their beds and tonight is their first night in their new room and new bunk beds. I must say, it has been kind of bittersweet for me. I love that they are sharing a room, but it makes me sad to say good-bye to this stage of our life... Brower in his cute boy room and Kate in her girly room. I am excited to see the nursery set back up and awaiting a sweet, baby boy!
Brower did bring his mommy to tears earlier today though. I went back to the bedroom and saw
him sitting in his old room in his rocking chair. The only things left in his room were his rocking chair and rocking horse. I said "Hey Brower, what are you doing?" "Nothing mommy, just sitting in my old room rocking." I said "Brower, are you sad?" No, mommy, I just rocking in my old room." He looked so sad and confused about where he was supposed to be and where his place was in our house. I brought him into his "new room" and explained to him that this was no longer Kate's room, but it was now Kate and Brower's room. I told him to go get some of his toys to move into the closet. After having some of his own toys in his room, I think he's feeling a little better about his new room.
