Pottys, Monkey Bars and Surgery...

I have been so slack in posting lately. We went on vacation to Kiawah for a week with Papa and Nonna and then returned to have my gall bladder removed. Chad and our family took such great care of me while I was recovering. Our parents loved on us in only a way parents can. Kate and Brower were very concerned for their mommy which was so cute. Kate did not want to leave my side. She insisted on Papa taking her to get flowers for me while I was at the hospital. Nonna thought I might like some wild flowers, but Kate insisted on the small pink roses (she knows that tulips are my favorite and they looked like tulips). She came to cuddle with me in bed one morning when she woke up. I had to get up out of bed after a while, which was a very difficult task. Kate got behind me and said "It's okay mommy, I'll help push you up" and pushed my back. She is such a sweet girl.
Just before my surgery, I decided it would be a good time to potty train Brower. He did great! He was so excited to wear his "Iting Mween"- Lightning McQueen- underwear. So now, he is running around in his big boy underwear...I can't believe he is such a big boy.
Kate has learned how to go all the way across the monkey bars all by herself! She climbed up the ladder the other day and said "Mommy, watch me!" She had such determination on her face. I could tell there was no way she was going to stop until she was all the way across. I think the child is going to be a gymnast. She is constantly doing somersaults and trying to do headstands and carwheels. Too cute.
